BONEHEAD AWARDS

Awards to people (usually politicians) whose actions or words seem to indicate that they have more dense bone material than brain matter resting on top of their spinal column. They are usually failures in humanity and in civil rights.

Daryl Metcalfe (State Representative, R, Cranberry Twp PA)

Bible Thumping Extrodinaire whose name is now also a verb thanks to a columnist (Eric Heyl) at even the fringe news rag the TRIBUNE-REVIEW: "Let's Metcalfe for a moment today. For this column's purposes, the word is defined as wantonly engaging in acts of stupefying redundancy."

Eric Heyl adequately describes Rep Metcalfe in his article in the TRIBUNE-REVIEW, Sunday, April 23, 2006 entitled "Metcalfe's proposal needless, unnecessary"

"The Cranberry Republican has been getting considerable mileage out of his recent bill calling for a voter referendum on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in Pennsylvania.

Metcalfe is determined to ensure that marriage stays an uplifting, spiritual union between a man and a woman that only occasionally results in bitter unhappiness, clinical depression, mid-afternoon binge drinking, chronic infidelity, noisy late-night arguments, broken furniture, protection-from-abuse orders and violent, premature death."

In June 2006, the not-so-honorable Metcalfe told the viewing public (on PCNC's Night Talk program) that he "chose heterosexuality". We have never ever heard a true heterosexual proclaim to the world that he chose heterosexuality (other than those weirdos who claim to be "cured"). We wonder if that is why Daryl is so cranky about homosexuals... someone made him "choose" to be something he really isn't: intelligent.

OUR RECOMMENDATION: Take back our government from fringe freaks by VOTING DARYL METCALFE OUT OF OFFICE. We're tired of the "GOD, GUNS, & GAYS" the sky is falling hysteria.

Watch out ladies -- this guy is the type of fringe freak that would could get his underwear all twisted and make yet another constitutional amendment proposal to outlaw vibrators because they might damage marriage.
